Is there a standard definition or one that Peel Mentoring Network uses for "mentoring"?

As there are a variety of good definitions of mentoring as well as a wide variety of mentoring programs. PMN has chosen at this time, to embrace a variety of descriptions and definitions to ensure that we are inclusive of the many forms of mentoring.

Can the Peel Mentoring Network provide me with a mentor?

Our project is ongoing and will continue to evolve over time. We do encourage feedback so we can understand the needs of the community and all interested parties. As we understand those needs this may be a service we will consider in the future, as well as other ideas that are presented to us.

Can the Peel Mentoring Network find me a position as a mentor?

As per the previous answer, our project continues to evolve. There are many organizations in the community who have existing mentoring programs and we encourage your interest and enthusiasm. Continue to monitor this site for new information as our project expands to possibly include this service and others.

Does the Peel Mentoring Network review or evaluate mentoring programs in the community?

At present our work focuses on encouraging and supporting mentoring programs. We encourage ongoing evaluation as per the normal practices in community agencies as well as by the funder. We will continue to monitor the news and activities of mentoring programs in Peel Region and make those available on this site, so keep watching for more.

Does the Peel Mentoring Network have a list of mentoring programs in Peel Region?

Knowledge and information sharing is a key component of the Peel Mentoring Network. We are in the process of gathering data on mentoring programs, both in Peel Region, and outside of Peel. As we continue to develop our project and this website, we hope to be able to provide that information in the near future. These changes to our website will be posted regularly so keep checking for updates.

Can I register for your workshops using a credit card?

At this time, we are happy to process your registration by cash or cheque; to register by credit card please call Rapport Youth & Family Services at: 905.455-4100, Visa and Master Card are accepted.

Can I register at the door for your workshops?

In order to ensure that our workshops are enjoyable to our participants they do include refreshments; as well, rooms are booked based on a capacity basis, therefore, it is essential that we can confirm numbers with the venue. For these reasons we encourage you to register in advance as we would not want you to miss out on our community information sharing events. Confirmation of your space will be provided on receipt of your payment. We thank you in advance to for your interest.
